1. THE VELIO ETHOS (INTRODUCTION)
At VELIO, our data philosophy is absolute: You pay for our service; you are not the product. VELIO is a closed-loop biological and logistical steering system. To function autonomously, the system requires access to your physical telemetry, location, and schedule. We treat this data as an isolated asset belonging entirely to you.
We do not sell, rent, or broker your personal data to data brokers, advertisers, or third-party networks.
2. TELEMETRY AND DATA WE COLLECT
To provide autonomous coaching, VELIO collects the following categories of data:
- Biometric Data (via Apple HealthKit): With your explicit consent, we access read-only data including Sleep Analysis, Heart Rate Variability (HRV), Active Energy, Resting Heart Rate, and step counts.
- Logistical Context (via Apple Calendar): We do not store your meeting titles, attendees, or descriptions on our servers. We extract an anonymized CalendarDensityContext (total busy minutes, event counts, free block durations) to predictively periodize your kinetic load.
- Geospatial Data (via Location Services): We track your location to establish your "Home Base" geofence, identify timezone drift (travel), and source nearby nutritional options using our Radar system.
- Environmental Data (Camera/Microphone): Camera access is used strictly for on-device AI equipment scanning and nutrition label parsing. Microphone access is used for voice logging.
- User-Provided Data: Age, height, weight, sex, training experience (Kinetic Persona), and strategic goals (Cut/Bulk/Maintain).
3. HOW WE USE YOUR DATA
Your data is used strictly to power the VELIO engine:
- To autonomously restructure your workout schedule based on schedule density and travel.
- To dynamically alter macronutrient targets and suggest localized feeding windows.
- To protect your Central Nervous System (CNS) by overriding high-tax workouts when telemetry indicates poor recovery.
4. DATA PROCESSING AND THIRD-PARTY INFRASTRUCTURE
We utilize a "Two-Brain Architecture."
- The Edge: Much of your data processing happens locally on your iOS device.
- The Cloud: We use secure, enterprise-grade cloud providers (e.g., Google Firebase, Node.js infrastructure) to run our predictive algorithms.
- AI Models: When we use Large Language Models (LLMs) to generate custom tactical workouts, we pass strict, anonymized contextual data. Your data is explicitly excluded from being used to train third-party AI models.
5. YOUR CONTROL AND DELETION RIGHTS
You retain absolute control over your dossier. You may revoke Apple Health, Calendar, or Location access at any time via your iOS Settings. You may initiate a complete, irreversible deletion of your VELIO profile and all associated backend telemetry directly from the "System Configuration" section of the app.
